The
Alzheimer's Association offers a Contact Center
that is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week to provide
information and referral. Anyone with questions or concerns
about memory problems, dementia, or Alzheimer's disease
can call them at 800.272.3900.
The Contact Center is staffed with professionals who understand
the disease and its impact. They connect callers to information
about the disease, treatments, care strategies, and linkages
to community programs.
For more in-depth support, they offer confidential care
consultation. Their master's level clinicians provide decision-making
support, crisis assistance, and education regarding a number
of issues and concerns faced by people with dementia and
their families.
If you need assistance in Spanish or another language,
they can provide access to translation services for as many
as 140 languages and dialects.
Note: The Contact Center staff does not
perform diagnosis. They provide information, education,
support, and referral. Please contact a physician for a
diagnosis.
